Experience the vast and rugged beauty of Namibia on this luxurious 14-day vacation. Witness the ancient petroglyphs and rock paintings as well as the geological wonders of Twyfelfontein. Day 1: En Route
Depart from home; en route to Windhoek, Namibia
Day 2: Windhoek
Today we arrive in Windhoek, Namibia where we are escorted to the fabulous Olive Grove Guesthouse, conveniently located close to the city center. That afternoon we join our guide on a brief tour of some of the highlights and landmarks of Windhoek.

Day 3: Otjiwarongo
Today we travel north to Otjiwarongo. En route we stop at the Cheetah Conservation Fund where we have the unique opportunity to see and learn about the conservation of these magnificent and endangered predators. Upon arrival at the Frans Indongo Lodge we take part in an evening game drive.

Day 4 & 5: Etosha National Park
From Otjiwarongo we continue north via Outjo to Etosha National Park in Namibia's central-northern region where we spend the next two days. Our accommodations are at Okakuejo Restcamp, which we use as our base to embark on exciting safaris in Etosha.

Day 6 & 7: Twyfelfontein
After a leisurely breakfast we continue on our journey to the Twyfelfontein area with its interesting geological formations, a harsh land forged from heat and seismic upheaval. Twyfelfontein is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its many petroglyphs (rock engravings) and rock paintings. We spend two days in this area exploring the many interesting geological attractions.

Day 8: Swakopmund
Today make our way southtowards the coast. Along the way we stop in Hentiesbaai situated along the Skeleton Coast, named as such because of all the the ghostly shipwrecks that can be found here. We spend the night in Swakopmund.

Day 9: Swakopmund
We spend time exploring Swakopmund, a quaint town on the Atlantic Ocean, popular for its relaxed atmosphere, colonial German architecture and traditional food.

Day 10 & 11: Sossusvlei
The next leg of our journey takes us inland once again, as we make our way to the Sesriem area, our springboard to the hidden pans and towering sand dunes of the Namib Desert. For the next two nights we stay at Desert Camp overlooking the vast plains and dunes. We visit Sossusvlei, visit Dead Vlei, climb Dune 45, and explore the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 12: Windhoek
After one last look at the giant dunes of the Sossusvlei we begin our journey back to Windhoek. The route to Windhoek is scenic, providing beautiful panoramic views as we journey from the low coastal region to the higher elevated plateau region. Upon arrival in Windhoek we check into our accommodations and relax.

Day 13: Homeward bound
After a relaxing and sumptious breakfast we begin making preparations for our flight back home. This has been a memorable journey through one of the most unique and ruggedly beautiful countries on our planet.
