Land of the Maasai: 13-day vacation in Kenya

Experience the best of Kenya on this luxurious 13-day vacation. First we soak in the glorious views of Mt. Kilimanjaro from Amboseli National Park before traveling east to the Masai Mara. Here we embark on thrilling safaris, and depending on when we visit, we may have the opportunity to witness the Great Migration, which consists of millions of Wildebeest and Zebras migrating across the Masai Mara and Serengeti.

Day 1: En Route

Depart from home; en route to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 2: Nairobi

Today we arrive in Nairobi, Kenya where we are escorted to the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel, which is Nairobi's finest and best-known accommodation. Unwind at the popular Lord Delamere Terrace.

Day 3: Nairobi/Amboseli National Park

We transfer west to Amboseli National Park, located just north of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Here we check into the incredible Tortilis Camp and revel in the views of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, which provides a majestic backdrop to the open plains.

Day 4 & 5: Amboseli National Park

Over the next two days we explore this region on safari in the company of local Maasai guides. During the evenings we travel to the top of Kitirua Hill to watch as the sun sinks below the horizon, coloring the snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro a deep blush.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park/Masai Mara

Today we transfer to Serian Camp located in the Masai Mara. This region is the northernmost extension of the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem and one of Africa's most popular destinations. The game viewing is always especially good in this region. What makes the Masai Mara one of Africa's jewels is the annual Great Migration, which usually occurs here from July to November.
